It’s been a week since the end of school, I’ve had no finals, and every day I’ve been bumming.

Making up my missed Music Mondays (and today’s) with an album I’ve been listening to a lot lately – Lupe Fiasco’s Lasers.

…And now, back to studying for my 3 tests on Thursday. Fun!
I don’t think I’ve ever quite realized how much time I’m going to spend with my head in a book during medical school. It’s starting to scare me (even though I had some idea that medical school isn’t exactly what you would call easy) because I’m starting to think that above statement is becoming some sort of mantra of the older medical students I spoke to during my recent visit to the medical school I’m currently planning to attend in the fall. (Still waitlisted at 3 and waiting to hear back from another. Ughghgghggh.)
I guess my experience is sort of skewed, since all of my friends that attend medical school don’t exactly have the same schedule. It seems their medical school experience is like undergrad in terms of study habits…but I guess I should ask them about their grades (Ha!). I need to join a “Procrastinators Anonymous” support group or something.
But — I like my classmates, and everyone seems really cool. Despite my anxieties about it, I’m really excited to start medical school in the fall. It hasn’t really hit yet that I’m actually going to be studying medicine and that one day someone will call me a doctor (holy cow, I’m going to be responsible for other people’s lives), but I’m sure those epiphanies will occur sometime in the future…and maybe at two different (and inconvenient?) times.
Until then, I’m going to enjoy my last semester in college and my four day weekends. :)
Today’s Music Monday recommendation –

I love love love this song. The album was sort of a miss for me, but this is definitely my favorite song out of the bunch — it’s nice to actually hear G-Dragon sing.
