Music Monday: Mae

Mae has been one of my favorite bands for ages, and I only recently got around to seeing them in concert last night. Unfortunately, it’s their last in the foreseeable future as they’re going on an indefinite hiatus….which is really a loss for everyone because they’re an amazing band and even more outstanding live.

I wasn’t able to take a picture of them with my DSLR, but here’s a picture of them I snapped with my boyfriend’s point and shoot: (I wasn’t sure I would be able to bring it in the venue…….but I found out later that I could have. Big regret.)

Unfortunately, it’s missing Rob, who plays the keyboards/guitar. And now for some of their amazing music:

I would have a lot more listed but I figure I would have eventually listed every song they’ve ever recorded.

Love this band! It’s a shame they’re going on a hiatus.

I wish I knew about the camera rule when I saw Metric. I thought it was risky bringing a DSLR, but pretty much the entire row I was on had one. LOL

@Chrizta: I know right? I hope they come back soon :(

Haha I don’t think there were that many DSLRs at the venue, but I saw at least two people using theirs so I was kind of jealous. I’ve been trying to find people to go with me to an upcoming Jimmy Eat World concert, so hopefully once I do I can bring my camera there!

I lack friends that have the same music interests as me in Vegas. Why aren’t we in the same state?! hahaha. I’d love to see Jimmy Eat World!
